Jefferson County man pleads guilty to federal income tax violations
BEAUMONT - A 44-year-old Port Arthur, Texas man has pleaded guilty to federal income tax violations in the Eastern District of Texas, U.S. Attorney John M. Bales said Tuesday.
KFDM News learned that Theodore Paul Victor, Jr., pleaded guilty to tax evasion today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith F. Giblin.
For the calendar year 2009 Victor failed to disclose all of his taxable income resulting in a tax loss of approximately $25,935.58, according to information presented in court.
Victor was indicted by a federal grand jury on Apr. 2, 2014.
He faces up to five years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set.
The case is being investigated by the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney John B. Ross.
