Proposal suggests using closed school to house undocumented immigrant children

KFDM News learned new details about a plan to reopen the Al Price State School.

The school closed several years ago and now Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick is revealing plans by what he calls a charitable organization to house undocumented immigrant children there.

The children are those who come to this country without their parents. The judge says the organization, which he didn't name, has approached him with the idea.

Commissioners did not talk about the proposal Monday. The judge says he wanted them to be aware of the request before it is placed on the agenda.
