Justice of the Peace IDs deceased woman found in submerged car

A justice of the peace has identified a woman who died when her car ended up in a canal.

Justice of the peace Brad Burnett told KFDM News he has ordered an autopsy to find out if 58-year-old Tina Nguyen drowned.

First responders found Nguyen's body in her car after pipeline workers discovered it in the waterway Thursday afternoon off Farm Road 366 and Orchard Avenue in Port Neches Judge Burnett says Nguyen lived in Nederland.

The judge and police believe Nguyen's car left the road sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
