A dry weather pattern will continue for the next few days with below normal temperatures.  In fact, scattered frost can be expected Sunday morning over the Lakes Area.  A warming trend will begin early next week with a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms by the middle and later part of next week.

Some Southeast Texas still without power July 4

SOUTHEAST TEXAS - Several thousand Southeast Texans remained without power Friday morning, according to the outage map on the Entergy Texas website, and the estimated restoration time for some is 3 p.m.

At 8:45 a.m. Friday about 2,000 people in Port Arthur were without power and roughly 800 in Beaumont. About 200 people were still without electricity in the Fannett area and there were scattered outages in Sour Lake and Lumberton.

Thursday's storm also knocked down a number of trees in the region. There were no reported injuries.

At the height of the storm Thursday more than 20,000 people had lost power, including about 17,000 in Port Arthur.
