Restaurant Report: July 4, 2014
KFDM News - Restaurants in Hardin County made is it easy for inspectors this week because they all scored high.
Kelli Phillips has details in the Restaurant Report Card.
We begin with Grand China on Highway 96 South in Silsbee. Inspector Kellum found the hand sink broken and in need of repair. All food in the reach in cooler needed to be labeled and dated. There was a pipe on the floor that was leaking and needed to be fixed. The entire kitchen area needed to be cleaned. Inspector Kellum left and came back the next day and almost all violations were corrected.
Next, an inspector visits Papa John's Pizza on South Main in Lumberton. A thermometer was needed in the reach in cooler and test strips were needed for sanitizing water. Papa John's Pizza in Lumberton gets a 94.
An inspector visited The Cottage on Old Evadale Highway in Silsbee, which got perfect score.
Other perfect scores went to the following eateries:
- Captain Ron's Seafood on South Pine in Kountze.
- Dairy Queen on North Fifth Street in Silsbee.
- Novrozsky's on Highway 327 East in Silsbee.
