NEWS RELEASE from Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army Family Store in Beaumont will be temporarily close on Monday, July 28 and re-open on Friday, August 1.

With a new administration, the store aims to provide a service to its customers by offering the best prices and a better shopping experience. In this regard, clients will be able to purchase a wide variety of furniture, household items, clothing, sporting goods and more.

According to Daylis Estevez, the store manager, The Salvation Army Family Store in Beaumont has been facing a pretty dramatic drop in sales, which endangers the funding of important social service programs. Therefore the organization is calling on the community to support the store by shopping with us or donating items that can be re-sold for a good cause.

The Salvation Army Family Store in Beaumont opened in 2009.

The Family Store provides the operating funds for The Salvation Army's Shelter and Transitional Housing Programs. "We encourage neighbors to support our Family Store, because it is more than a business, is a source of resources to support people from our community who are in need," said Captain Alan Gonzalez of the Salvation Army. "We've been part of Beaumont community since 1901. Our shelter and transitional housing programs depend largely on the support that we receive through our store."

The store is located at 4295 College Street in Beaumont. You can support the Salvation Army by donating re-usable items. For further information or truck pick-up service, call 409-896-2361.
