Mold, rust and roaches...Just a few of the problems inspectors find at orange county restaurants.
 We've got the highs and lows in this edition of the restaurant report card.

We begin with general wok on 16th street in orange.  Inspector scales found egg rolls at unsafe temperatures.  Food taken out of its original packaging needs to be labeled and dated in the coolers and freezers.  Produce was found with mold on it. All food in the coolers and freezers needed to be covered. Several dead roaches and feces were found on top of the cooler. And pipes were dripping water under the sink. The outside of the storage equipment needed to be cleaned and the  fryers, floors throughout as well as the
Inside of the walk-in cooler need to be cleaned of old foods and dirt. General wok in orange gets a 78.

Now onto pinehurst bbq and steak on strickland in orange. All foods inside coolers needed to be labeled and dated. And finally inspector scales checks out sonic on highway 62 in mauriceville.
The manager was using a cell phone and bagging customer foods which is a violation of good hygenic practices. All foods  needed to be covered inside the reach in coolers and freezers. Several flies were found throughout. The  air vents are beginning to rust and the paint was peeling, the storage shelves in the reach in freezer were beginning to rust. The  walls and floors in the  back area need to be cleaned. And the a/c vents were dripping water and need to be repaired. Sonic on highway 62 in mauriceville gets a 62.
