A good coverage of rain can be expected tonight into Friday as a rather strong upper level disturbance moves in from the west.  Some of the rains Friday will be locally heavy with the potential for 1-2 inches of rain in some spots.  Drier and cooler air will take over Friday night into Sunday.

Republican Brandon Creighton, of Conroe, wins the Texas Senate District 4 seat

KFDM News - In a special runoff election for the Texas State Senate District 4 seat, Republican Brandon Creighton, of Conroe, has defeated Republican Steve Toth from the Woodlands.

With all of the votes counted, Creighton received more than 15,000 votes and 67 percent of the vote. Toth garnered 7,000 and 33 percent of the vote.

Creighton succeeds Republican Tommy Williams, who resigned last October after more than a decade representing the district.
