Special State Senate election Tuesday

JEFFERSON COUNTY - The Special Runoff Election to fill State Senate District 4 is set for Tuesday.

Voters will have their final opportunity to help determine who will fill the vacancy in State Senate District 4. Early voting in the Special Runoff Election between Brandon Creighton and Steve Toth is concluded.  The GOP winner replaces Tommy Williams, who retired from the position.

Election Day Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Jefferson County, voters can go to any of the 31 polling locations and cast their ballots, even if they're not registered in that location. All they need is one of the forms of photo ID.

Aside from Harris County, State Senate District 4 runs through Chambers, Galveston, Jefferson and Montgomery counties.

Overall, the district has 232 voting precincts totaling roughly half a million registered voters.
