BEAUMONT - by Lauren Huet

Beaumont police responded to a stabbing this morning at 6:15 a.m., at the Towne Oaks Apartments. When officers arrived at the apartment, at 6550 Lexington Dr., they found a 57-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest. Ebony Living, a 31-year-old Beaumont resident, has been arrested. Detectives discovered the two are friends and got into an argument while drinking. Police say Living stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife at least twice. The victim has life threatening injuries and was taken by EMS to St. Elizabeth's. Officers say he is in critical condition.

Living was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
